We come from a very different operating system.

“From the 1900s. Please Adjust Expectations.” is for anyone who grew up rewinding tapes, memorizing phone numbers, looking things up in actual books, and accepting that sometimes the internet simply wasn't available because somebody was using the phone.

We knew how to fix a cassette with a pencil. We waited for our favorite song to come on the radio. We called people's houses without knowing who would answer.

We have survived things.

Now we're expected to remember seventeen passwords, scan QR codes for menus, update perfectly functional devices, and somehow understand why everything needs its own app.

We're adapting.

But expectations should remain reasonable.

Soft, lightweight, and made for anyone born in the previous century who would appreciate a little patience while adjusting to whatever we're apparently doing now.

Washing Your Shirt is No Laughing Matter

Okay, maybe that's a little dramatic. But we did make this shirt to be worn, loved, and lived in—and a little extra care will help keep it looking great for years to come.

Washing

Wash in cold water. It’s gentler on the fabric and helps keep the colors looking their best.
Turn it inside out before washing. This helps protect the graphic while it tumbles around with the rest of your laundry.
Use a gentle detergent. Nothing fancy required—just something kind to your clothes.
Wash separately the first time. It gives the shirt a little extra protection while the colors settle in.
Tumble dry low. Your shirt will thank you.

Drying

Skip the high heat. Too much heat can be rough on fabric and graphics.
Tumble dry low. Nice and easy.
Remove promptly. It helps minimize wrinkles and keeps your shirt looking its best.

A Few Things to Avoid

No bleach or harsh detergents. They can fade the color and wear down the graphic.

Skip the fabric softener. It can affect the feel and finish of the fabric.
Don't iron directly over the graphic. If you need to iron the shirt, turn it inside out first.

The Short Version

Cold water. Inside out. Gentle detergent. Low heat.

That's really all it takes.Take good care of your new favorite shirt, and hopefully it'll stick around long enough to become one of those shirts you refuse to get rid of—even when someone suggests it's "probably time."
